Hellooooo, this video shows the process of me repairing a cracked badminton racket frame with superglue as well as giving it some TLC with lots of new grommets, a new grip and a full restring to get it back to playing condition!

I would not trust a repair with super glue. Maybe the joint between the frame and the handle, but not a cracked head. Anyone else had a good experience with that?

I wouldn't event bother with trying to repair it/servicing it. Also it could play in your head. Carbon fibre strength is derived from the integrity of the fibres. With that gone it's essentially a 2 piece racket. Def cant string to max high tension and every hit is risk to it just breaking again.

I get it.. I did this with a mind to give the racket to someone or some place who needs rackets that will take lots of abuse (ie: junior badminton clubs or schools). If you see the amount of bent or broken rackets in schools, you wouldn't mind giving something like this away so a kid can play badminton when they're in school 👍🏼

No trust to a superglued racket! Buying a new one is a better choice.

Cool vid, but honestly seems a bit pointless to me. Glue or not, the crack is still there and it's going to snap as soon as you put any sort of meaningful load on it (high tension, big smash or mishit). I mean I guess you could give it to your kid to play with or something, but still I wouldn't bother.

True. Hence I was quite surprised this one took 22lbs and no warp in frame. It also took a few mishits during the play test and survived. And yes, the idea was to give it to someone who needs a donated racket.. so a cracked £120 racket might be slightly better than a £10 racket?? 😂😂
